Together with architecture students from the BTU-Cottbus University, we had four days to submit a project for the « Radikal Radial » idea for the next IBA exhibition. The radials are major roads that connects Berlin with its surroundings. We were asked to give a new identity to one of those axes: the Karl-Marx Allee. As it spans on a total of fifteen kilometers, from Alexanderplatz up to the outer bounds of Berlin, each team was given a small section of it. Ours was on a side of a artificial hill made of waste from World War II, twelve kilometers from the Alexanderplatz.
